Born in 1967, she graduated in Economics and Commerce before immediately entering the hospitality world via the headquarters of Subway, the American fast food chain.
She continued with Best Western as marketing manager and as the CEO’s "right-hand man". The next important step in Giovanna’s career came via a role with the Amadeus global distribution system. Her experience in the multinational, combined with an innate vision and ability to intercept truly functional innovations, has proven to be a springboard and an opportunity to consolidate her technological skills.
She took some time out to work with Travelonline, the first Italian B2C tourism portal, before returning to Amadeus in 2002 as Marketing Director. In 2004, the president of Best Western implored her to return to the company where, at only 37, she was entrusted with the role of CEO. Her main objective is to ferry Best Western in the delicate transition from a consortium/cooperative of hotels to a structured hotel group, with clear and measurable resources, organisation and objectives.
